These are beautiful out of the box and assembly is easy. They have been outside for just over a month and already noticing rust where the wings are inserted in the one statue. I thought they would hold up a bit better in such a short time. Maybe coating the posts and holes with clear nail polish where the wings get inserted would prevent this from happening.these are beautiful to look at in the yardA new addition around the pond. Beautiful, sturdy and protective of koi.Top heavy and had to make my own set up to keep them standing. Don’t count on what they supply with the birds. Otherwise love them they are very nice and realistic. Keeping the herons out of my pond.Put these out by my bench in my little desert Oasis to add some cheer (believe it or not Tucson does have herons!)They were very easy to put together... just insert the wings on the one and the legs on both. Nice and secure!I hope they'll weather well...we'll see. But they look like they will... even if they rust a bit.I did use the included stakes to stake the feet to the ground but the wind still threatened to topple them, especially the one with spread wings. I added rocks which I'm hoping have them secure. Wish that wasn't needed but oh well. Will update if there's any issues but asof now, I love them!Quite well made and even elegant lawn item that has the added virtue of being neither a gnome or a pink birdQuite easy to put together, too IF you don't mind that you might have to swap out pieces a couple of times (the stands are of differet sizes as are the birds, but which goes to which...?)And, of course the usual problem of having to "make adjustments" so that the part that goes into the hole (the gazinta) actually fits the hole itselfI don't know when it became the norm to just let people figure it out without having to go to the "enormous" expense of a sheet of instructions, but it's REALLY annoyingand sometime (not this) prevents use all togetherC'mon guys! These metal herons came packed well, they came in separate pieces, the legs, the body, and the wings. They are easy to insert the peices in their respective holes, and each bird has 2 anchors for the dirt. They are large, and looks beautiful in the yard, and the material is sturdy for the most part, I only found few paint scratches under the one with the wings down. Otherwise beautiful birds. These are absolutely beautiful sculptures. They are a beautiful color, and even have some red in their faces. They are a delight to look at.They were, however, very hard to put together. The pieces arrive with two bodies, two sets of legs and one pair of wings that need to be assembled. It looks like it'll be simple to just slide the metal posts on the body into the holes for the legs. But this proved very difficult! Maybe the pieces bent during shipment? I don't know, but we had to really use all our force to try to get them in.The one with the wings raised we were eventually able to get the body to be firmly attached to the legs. But the one with the wings at its side we were unable to slide the posts in all the way. We really rammed it hard-- as hard as possible without bending the metal! But we couldn't do it. Parts of the color flaked off of the posts as we were doing it. Eventually we got it on there a centimeter or so, and it appears well and truly stuck on there. I took a picture so you can see how far the posts are up above the slots they go into. When putting them outside, we laid them down on the ground and the bodies didn't come off the legs. The wings are very easy to attach-- they just slide in beautifully.Overall I'm happy with their look and I think they'll stay attached. But it was certainly difficult to get them that way.Oh and it was super easy to get them attached to the ground. They come with u-shaped stakes (2 stakes for each bird) that were easy to push into the ground with a rubber mallet.
