I bought both of these hummingbird feeders. They are quite sturdy. There appear to be seams on both sides of the feeder. According to the seller, these are traces left by the mold during the hand blowing process, not seams. (See user manual). They don’t affect the beauty of the feeders at all. The feeders are well packaged in styrofoam in a box w/ the seller’s emblem on top. The S hook & hanging rope are on the outside of the styrofoam & the feeder, ant moat, & small brush (tucked behind the feeder) are on the inside of the styrofoam. See photos. Keep the box & styrofoam to store your feeder in the winter. The gasket is a bit thin. I have other feeders with better gaskets. They should be fine though. The feeders are brightly colored w/ plenty of red to attract hummingbirds. My photos include pics of each feeder from both sides so you can see how the color swirls are beautiful from any angle. The bottom of the glass is completely smooth on both feeders. This isn’t always the case w/ feeders & I appreciate the attention to detail. I did notice that the perches on one feeder are angled higher than the other. There is a pic of this with the feeder bottoms next to each other showing the difference. I will have to gently bend the perches down. Not a big deal. But, if you’re making hummingbird feeders, your perches shouldn’t have to be adjusted by the customer. I also noticed that some of the flower petals on that same feeder were slightly bent. They won’t affect the hummingbirds. But, something I did notice. I read quite a few reviews where people mentioned having to hold the feeders awkwardly to fill them because they aren’t top fillers. If you remove your sink stopper, you can place the feeder in the sink opening, easily fill it, & screw on the bottom. To air dry your feeder, put the sink stopper back in & place your feeder right side up to allow water to drip out & the feeder to completely dry before packing it away for the winter. I also noticed some pics in other reviews w/ the ant moats upside down. You should place the moat w/ the reservoir up & keep it filled with water. Keep the water clean as it not only stops the ants but sometimes the hummers will drink from it. The piece of rope that comes w/ the feeder seems pretty sturdy & will work fine shoulder you need to hang your feeder with it. The S hook is not flimsy. I filled both feeders & neither one leaks. The seller includes a detailed user manual which even has a nectar changing guide listing how often to change the nectar according to the outdoor temperature. It also includes a nectar recipe. I have never gotten such a detailed user manual. A card w/ all the information to contact the seller is also included. I appreciate a seller who shows they have a commitment to their buyers. I’ve bought plant hangers that clamp to a deck or porch railing to hang my feeders from where I don’t have an overhang to put a hook in. You can find them at big box home improvement stores. But, they sell out quickly in the spring. I also hang them on shepherd hooks in my flower gardens near the plants they love. Besides colorful feeders, hummers also like moving water such as fountains or light sprayer. I had to move unexpectedly in September so I’m crossing my fingers that I will have hummingbirds at my new condo.
