Assembly was easy and straight forward. Had to re-drill a few holes in the plywood to line up the screw and fastener. Worked well this first week. My folks and in-laws had similar models years a go and they held up for many years. The wood, a major component of the cart, will not last forever with wear-and-tear and exposure. However, the plywood on this unit is replaceable assuming the frame holds up. I plan on treating the wood regularly and hope that extends the carts lifespan.I looked at a lot of carts before I bought this one and am quite pleased with it. I put it together by myself in about an hour. I was impressed with the 3/4 inch diameter solid axle and the galvanized handle bars. Really a quality product and best of all, it's made in the USA.Assembly was alittle troublesome. The axle shaft was at least 1/4" shorter than needed to insert the cotter pins! I had to force fit axle assembly!Have wanted one for years and finally got it! Love it and it wasn't too hard to assemble.Great cart. Difficult to assemble.The traditional made in Vermont cart. Unlike Smart Carts' attempt to copy, which is made of plastic and has sharp edges, this cart is stronger, better made and comes in two sizes. Plus Gardener's Supply stands behind its products.
