I was surprised at the size and weight of the box when it arrived. This is a beefy product, heavy and well constructed. The directions were easy to follow and everything fit together well. (although the black retaining clip needed a little filing inside to get it to slide onto the pole) I installed it on my deck and it looks great! I especially like that the vane is held on the pole with a thumb screw, so is easy to remove in case of a hurricane. (I screwed the pole to a deck post) The only downside is, due to the vane's weight, it will take a fairly strong wind to make it pivot. (bearings would be better) - but as a decorative item, it is beautiful.
